About Alpha Practice Sales: Who We Are
Alpha Practice Sales is the creation of Edna and Ray Irving. Its evolution started in 1969 when Ray’s father Henry Irving (a public accountant in San Francisco) commenced operations as Professional Practice Sales. Henry had this novel idea that dental practices could be monetized in a public forum with consideration being exchanged between parties per the transfer of a practice from one dentist to another dentist. And as a result of this visionary concept, hundreds of dental practices have been successfully sold.
As the nature of the practice of dentistry has evolved with many practices realizing revenues in the 7-digit range, the value of such practices has been enhanced greatly. This has then played out where the traditional model of selling a practice from one dentist to another has evolved to selling successful high revenue practices to corporate entities.
Alpha Practice Sales provides that platform by which owners of large successful practices can actively solicit interest from corporate entities within the same window of time. In this manner, they can determine which is their best avenue as they seek to divest their ownership in exchange for a sales scenario that meets their satisfaction. and Dan are second-generation practice transaction specialists. They were mentored in this activity by their father, Henry Irving, a public accountant in San Francisco, who launched this activity in 1969 as an additional service to his second-generation public accounting practice.
